Pete Davidson returned to stand-up comedy, presenting a new routine at a New Year's Eve set on Monday night (December 31) in Boston.
The Saturday Night Live star reportedly made mention of his very public split with Ariana Grande, but it was Louis C.K. that bore the brunt of Davidson's comedic criticism.
He claimed that the disgraced Louie star had previously attempted to get Davidson fired from SNL, apparently telling showrunner Lorne Michaels that, "Pete smokes so much weed that it makes people uncomfortable."
Pointing out the irony of C.K.'s moral superiority, Davidson quipped, "Then five years later this motherfucker's been locking doors and jerking off in front of people."
Davidson also joked about the disturbing link between getting new tattoos and related pop culture figures promptly dying.
"I got a Harry Potter tattoo. Then the next day Alan Rickman, the guy who played Snape, died, and I was like, 'Oh, what a weird coincidence,'" Davidson said during his set. "Then I got a Willy Wonka tattoo. Next day, Gene Wilder dies. Now I'm like, 'All right, that's a coincidence, that's weird.'"
He then landed the punchline, "So I'm thinking of getting a tattoo of Louis C.K., what do you guys think?"
As far as we're concerned, Davidson's recent Piggy Smallz tattoo hasn't brought harm to his ex-fiancée's pig.
Davidson's set marked his first since worrying fans with an alarming Instagram post last month that led many to believe the young comedian was suicidal. Following that post, he did make a brief appearance on that night's (December 15) episode of Saturday Night Live.
C.K., meanwhile, has been controversially attempting a comeback since admitting to numerous allegations of sexual misconduct by multiple women in 2017.
