Pearl Jam's Mike McCready Contributes Music to War Drama 'Sadie'

Late last year, Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready shared his 31-track original score for The Glamour & The Squalor, a film centred on the story of influential Seattle radio DJ Marco Collins. Now, it seems McCready has another collection of film music on deck, with his name appearing in credits for a forthcoming war drama.

Director Megan Griffiths is set to give her new film Sadie its world premiere at this year's SXSW Film Festival, and an official listing notes that McCready has provided music for the production.

Sadie tells the story of a 13-year-old girl who lives at home with her mother while her father serves repeated tours in the military. Despite his prolonged absence, Sadie remans attached to her father. When her mother begins dating a new man, Sadie takes it upon herself to end the relationship and keep her family together.

Sadie stars Melanie Lynskey, Sophia Mitri Schloss, John Gallagher Jr., Danielle Brooks, Tony Hale, Keith Williams and Tee Dennard. You can learn more about the film here.

McCready and Pearl Jam last delivered their Let's Play Two live album and film in 2017, while rumours currently swirl that the band have a new studio effort headed our way.
