If you thought the jacket Ansel Elgort wears in the trailer for Edgar Wright's latest film looks a lot like the same one worn by a certain smuggler in the original Star Wars saga, you're not alone.

Earlier today (June 6), the Hot Fuzz/Shaun of the Dead director stopped by Twitter Canada's headquarters in downtown Toronto to answer some fan questions over on Exclaim!'s Twitter account about his new movie, Baby Driver.

When a question about the once-rumoured-to-be-shortlisted future Han Solo's appearance came up, Wright dismissed whispers of it being a straight-up homage to the classic character.

"I've been asked about this a lot, and it is unintentional," Wright said. "Even Phil Lord and Chris Miller [the directorial duo behind next year's Star Wars spinoff Han Solo: A Star Wars Story] said, 'Hey, it's the Han Solo jacket!' Which it is not."

Baby Driver is in theatres on June 28.
