Netflix's inexplicably popular 13 Reasons Why has brought on a great deal of criticism for its gratuitous suicide scene and other questionable content. After recently editing a dangerous scene out of Season 1, the streamer has finalized plans to end the show.

Following news that 13 Reasons Why would return for a third season, the show has now been renewed for another. That said, Season 4 is the final outing for the series. There will be no more "reasons why" given!

Season 3 of 13 Reasons Why will launch in August, while the final season doesn't have a premiere date just yet.

recent study found that there was an increase in youth suicide following the release of Season 1, though a direct link between the TV show and the suicide rate was not proven and other factors could not be ruled out.

Around the time the show premiered, meanwhile, Australian mental health organizations claimed that there was a spike in calls to suicide hotlines. The show's second season was also panned for its graphic depiction of sexual assault.
