Now that everyone has calmed down and come to accept Netflix's speed function, the streamer has announced plans for a new possible feature that could potentially piss everyone off — a shuffle button.
According to Variety, the company has already started testing out the button, which it's dubbed "Shuffle Play." The goal is to help out users who get stuck scrolling through the menu for hours on end.
"The purpose of the test is to make it easier for members to find something to watch," a Netflix spokesperson said. "The hope is to absolutely productize something."
The Shuffle Play button won't be completely random. Instead, it will use data from your previous viewing choices to hopefully serve you something you want to watch.
Though it's not yet available widely, multiple Netflix users have pointed out that the Shuffle button has appeared on their homescreen, as pictured below.
