Michael C. Hall Hopes to Make Up for the 'Unsatisfying' 'Dexter' Finale
Long-gone TV series Dexter is set to return, and like a lot of us, its star Michael C. Hall is hope it will make up for some past wrongs. Mainly, the actor really wants another stab at that "unsatisfying" finale.

In an interview with Daily Beast, Hall addressed fans' disappointment with the show's 2013 finale.

"Let's be real: people found the way that show left things pretty unsatisfying, and there's always been a hope that a story would emerge that would be worth telling," Hall said. "I include myself in the group of people that wondered, 'What the hell happened to that guy?' So I'm excited to step back into it. I've never had that experience of playing a character this many years on."

Not to give out spoilers, but Season 8 of Dexter ended with Hall's character going into self-imposed self-isolation — a move that many felt was pretty cheap.

As previously reported, Dexter is set to return this year courtesy of original showrunner Clyde Phillips. However, as he explained, the revival will not simply be a Season 9, with the show essentially set to "start from scratch."
