Madonna Was So Inspired by 'Licorice Pizza' That She Mopped the Movie Theatre

As one does

Everyone (well, almost everyone) is loving Licorice Pizza, Paul Thomas Anderson's ode to the 1970s San Fernando Valley that features youngest HAIM sister and sudden movie star Alana Haim

And it turns out almost everyone includes Madonna, who was so inspired by her Licorice Pizza viewing that she was compelled to mop the movie theatre afterward.

"Saw the movie Licorice Pizza! Omgggggggggg!! Felt so inspired I had to clean the theater #paulthomasanderson," she wrote on an Instagram post that features a slideshow of the pop icon posing and mugging for the camera in various well-lit corners of a movie theatre.

It also includes, of course, an image of Madonna mopping the floor, celebrating movie magic and the return of the communal enchantment of the theatre (or maybe not that second part, seeing as it kinda looks like she had the entire place to herself).

Madonna has starred in a few films of her own, and she recently revealed that she was offered a role in 1999's The Matrix. Hopefully, the new one is good enough to inspire her to clean the popcorn machine.

Licorice Pizza arrives in Canada on December 25.
