Brigsby Bear, the quirky cult comedy from Saturday Night Live great Kyle Mooney and his frequent collaborator Dave McCary, was easily one of the best films we saw at Sundance this year. Though it's produced by the Lonely Island and was written by Mooney, however, the film is more bittersweet than goofy. Today, non-festival fans get their first taste with a new teaser trailer.
The first tease from the film does not offer much by way of plot details, though its wordless trailer should pique the interests of anyone who watches it. Here, we see the film's retro-futurist aesthetic on full display as Mooney's James lives in cultish adoration of a fictional teddy bear character.
