Kevin Smith has revealed that the dynamic stoner duo of Jay and Silent Bob are set to return to big screen in a brand new flick called Jay and Silent Bob Reboot. Smith announced yesterday (February 9) that the first draft of the script is finished, and he's in talks with Miramax to begin shooting the film this summer.
According to an Instagram post by Smith, the latest instalment in Jay and Silent Bob's saga finds the New Jersey dudes heading back to Hollywood in an attempt to stop a reboot of the hated Bluntman & Chronic from happening.
"It's a tongue-in-cheek, silly-ass satire that pokes fun at the movie business's recent re-do obsession, featuring an all-star cast of cameos and familiar faces," Smith wrote.
Smith will presumably resume his role as Silent Bob, and if the writer/director/actor's desktop background is any indication, Jason Mewes should be back as his titular counterpart.
