Kentucky Man Pulls Gun at 'Star Trek Beyond' Screening After Boy Kicks His Seat

When we attended the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, we found it rather strange that there were signs asking patrons to refrain from bringing firearms into theatres. It turns out, however, that guns are becoming more and more of a problem in the American moviegoing experience. Over the weekend, a Kentucky man pulled a gun at a screening of Star Trek Beyond after a young boy kicked his seat.

According to various reports, a man in Paducah, Kentucky pulled a gun at a Cinemark theatre. While he didn't fire any shots, the theatre was evacuated.

It all started when a young boy was kicking the man's seat. The man stood up and started cursing at the boy, at which point the boy's father interceded. The two started fighting, and the man pulled a gun, saying, "What the fuck are you going to do now?"

A police spokeswoman told The Huffington Post that they are looking at all of the evidence to determine whether or not they'll press charges against the man.
