Kanye West is set to return to late-night television tomorrow night (August 9) with an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, but don't expect to see the rapper on James Corden's "Carpool Karaoke" segment any time soon.
During a round of "Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts" with Kardashian mom-ager and West's mother-in-law Kris Jenner earlier this week, Corden revealed that West had been previously scheduled to cruise around L.A. with him for the show, but cancelled — three times.
"He cancelled once as I was turning the corner to his house," Corden admitted. "I was in a car, and by the time the call finished, I was sat outside his house and they were like, 'He's not in the zone for it right now.'"
The cancelled appearance apparently cost Corden and The Late Late Show a whopping $45,000 USD.
West later apologized for his flakiness by sending Corden a cube of flowers and a pair of Yeezys.
Hopefully things go a bit smoother with Corden's next "Carpool Karaoke" guest, Ariana Grande.
