Earlier this year, Jordan Peele expressed his desire to "focus on writing, directing and producing" in the wake of his success with Get Out. Now that he hasn't been lined up to direct a live-action adaptation of Akira, he'll turn to television to executive produce a drama that follows Nazi hunters.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Peele will executive produce Sonar Entertainment's The Hunt, a drama that follows a band of Nazi hunters in 1970s America that was inspired by true events.
Sonar Entertainment will produce the potential series alongside Peele's Monkeypaw Productions, while David Weil has also been tapped to pen the script and executive produce with Peele.
While a network has yet to be attached to the project, THR notes that insiders say the project is drawing interest from several bidders.
