Johnny Knoxville Runs a Brutally Dangerous Amusement Park in the First Trailer for 'Action Point'

Now that we've all come to terms with the fact that there will probably never be more Jackass, we can take solace in the news that Johnny Knoxville continues to hurt himself for our entertainment. As previously reported, he's set to star in a film about a dilapidated and dangerous amusement park, and today we get our first look with a new trailer.

The film is called Action Point, and is loosely based on the story of a notorious New Jersey amusement park called Action Park. Based on the first trailer, the film is packed with brutal nut shots and other perilous injuries as Knoxville brings his amped-up slapstick to the next level.

While it's hard to imagine what the movie will actually be like, there's a chance it could be a surprisingly solid comedy. After all, it was written by Silicon Valley's John Altschuler and Dave Krinsky and directed by Tim Kirkby (Look Around YouVeep, Fleabag). It also has the look and feel of the Lonely Island's cult classic Hot Rod.

Watch the trailer for Action Point below. The film hits theatres on June 1.
