Jimmy Fallon Mashes Up 'Riverdale' and 'Peanuts' in New Skit

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Dec 13, 2017

Against better judgment, NBC didn't ban all Peanuts-related content after the unforgettable Today Show costumes of 2015. Instead, the network's Tonight Show star, Jimmy Fallon, has taken the classic Charlie Brown cartoon and injected it with an unhealthy dose of steamy, hormone-fuelled teen angst.

In a skit for The Tonight Show last night (December 12), Fallon joined forces with the cast of Riverdale to spice up old Peanuts tropes. Fallon plays sad sack Brown, falling for Lucy's classic football trick, but the real action starts when Linus is found dead in the pumpkin patch.

Peppermint Patty, Marcy and Shroeder join Charlie and Lucy on a mystery-solving adventure filled with dramatic glances, inappropriate student-teacher relationships and terrible teen songwriting.
