Jimmy Fallon Tells Elon Musk to "Fix" Twitter After Reports of His Death Go Viral

"Fix what?" replied the billionaire

Anarchy continues to be the law of the land on Twitter following the very messy takeover by Elon Musk. Now, late-night host Jimmy Fallon has asked Musk to "fix" the service after a hashtag announcing his death went viral.

Last night, #RIPJimmyFallon began trending, and Fallon tweeted, "Elon, can you fix this?" Musk, who somehow doesn't have anything better to do than hang out on his own social media site and personally handle customer service complaints, replied, "Fix what?"

It's not totally clear if Fallon is actually upset about the hoax hashtag, or if he's just bantering. And we assume that's real Jimmy Fallon tweeting — he has a blue checkmark, so that means he's confirmed to be real, right?

As of this writing, #RIPJimmyFallon is still trending.

Fallon is just the latest celebrity to struggle with Twitter recently. Kathy Griffin was banned for impersonating Musk, Doja Cat got stuck with the name "Christmas," and Daniel Radcliffe wasn't actually banned, even though "Weird Al" tricked everyone into thinking he was.

Meanwhile, practically all of the funniest tweets of the week were at Musk's expense.
