TMZ reports that Messing, who lives with his parents in Tampa, FL, began feeling ill a few days ago. By Monday night, he was struggling to breathe and was taken to hospital. He's now reportedly fighting for his life.
Messing, who is 35, has received a single dose of the Pfizer vaccine. His parents, who are both fully vaccinated, began feeling ill around the same time Messing did; his father James has thus far tested negative, while his mother's results are still on the way.
As a young actor, Messing had a recurring role as Gordon Crisp on the show Freaks and Geeks, appearing in 11 of the show's 18 episodes. He also appeared in Addams Family Reunion, Malcolm in the Middle, Mr. Show with Bob and David and more.
