Last night's Academy Awards are on everyone's mind this morning, though others are already looking forward to next year's installment. J.J. Abrams, producer of the current iteration of the Star Wars franchise, says Mark Hamill will win in 2018 for his portrayal of Luke Skywalker.

As previously reported, the next edition of the current Star Wars trilogy will be called Star Wars: The Last Jedi. The film will heavily focus on Hamill's Skywalker.

"I think we are all going to be very upset if he does not win an Oscar, and no one more upset than Mark," Abrams told the NY Daily News. "He is hysterically funny. He has done comedy. He is an amazing guy — he can do anything."

It likely won't be too long before we get our first taste of The Last Jedi. Directed by Rian Johnson, the film is expected in theatres on December 15.
