Here's Your First Look at Johnny Flynn as David Bowie in the New 'Stardust' Film

BY Brock ThiessenPublished Aug 20, 2019

While the new David Bowie film Stardust may not have the blessing of the late music icon's family, the biopic is very much still going ahead. To prove it, today we've got our first photo of star Johnny Flynn as Bowie.

Up above, you can check out the newly shared image, with Flynn looking very Hunky Dory.

As previously reported, the film stars the U.K. actor/musician as Bowie and is being directed by Gabriel Range, with a script by Christopher Bell.

Stardust is set in 1971 and follows a 24-year-old Bowie as he embarks on his first tour in America with the struggling publicist Ron Oberman, played by Marc Maron. The film also stars Jena Malone as Bowie's wife Angie.

As of press time, there is still no firm release date for Stardust so the image of Flynn — like it or not — will have to do for now.
