The year has been full of various horrors, but that's not always a bad thing. When it comes to the world of film, we've been blessed to finally receive a Canadian iteration of AMC Networks' all-horror streaming service Shudder. In order to start your 2017 with the right kind of horror, here's what's coming to the service next month.
There are a handful of exclusives set to hit Shudder, including the TIFF Midnight Madness film Sadako vs. Kayako (January 26). The Japanese horror flick from Koji Shiraishi pairs the characters of Ju-On and Ringu with terrifying results.
Prior to that, Shudder will exclusively land Dearest Sister on January 12. The film comes from Mattie Do, Lao's first-ever female feature film director, and follows a young girl who loses her vision but learns to communicate with the dead.
Other films hitting Shudder in January include The Descent, Bug, High Tension, Slaughter High, My Bloody Valentine 3D, Hostel 2, Three Extremes I & II and Cabin Fever.
Further, the service has pieced together a collection of chilling winter-themed horror films to fit with the season.
