Halifax's Video Difference to Close

BY Josiah HughesPublished Aug 2, 2016

As movie fans move further into the world of downloading, streaming and video-on-demand, the demand for physical media continues to dwindle. Last month, the last ever VCR went into production, and now Canada's losing another video store.

For three and a half decades, Video Difference has provided Halifax with the best films and television box sets at its two locations. Now, however, the store's reign is coming to an end.

On August 15, the show will shut down. Then, beginning on August 20, they'll sell their entire inventory over a six-week liquidation sale. To receive a five dollar credit, bring eight non-perishable food items for the Parker Street Food Bank.
