'Friends' Is Leaving Netflix Again

(Or at least, the American Netflix)
'Friends' Is Leaving Netflix Again
It may not seem like a big deal to you, but recent developments in the streaming realm have resulted in normie armageddon. Following news that The Office was leaving Netflix, the streaming service has now lost Friends.

Come 2020, the show absolutely won't be there for you when you turn on your Netflix. That's because the streaming service, despite paying $100 million USD to keep it through 2019, has lost the streaming rights to HBO.

The show will switch over to WarnerMedia's upcoming HBO Max streaming service, which is expected to launch in spring 2020. The service will be packed with both new and existing content, as well as all 10 seasons of Friends.

The Office is going to NBC's streaming app that same year, meaning you'll have to shell out for two more services if you refuse to watch any other shows. Or you could, y'know, go to any garage sale or thrift store and pick up the DVDs.

Netflix confirmed the announcement with a tweet.
