FKA Twigs has been cast in the upcoming remake of Alex Proyas' 1994 cult classic The Crow, based on James O'Barr's comic of the same name.

Twigs' role is currently under wraps, but she'll be appearing in the film alongside Bill Skarsgård, who'll be playing main character Eric Draven. The remake is being directed by Rupert Sanders.

In 1994 original, Draven was played by actor and martial artist Brandon Lee, who was infamously killed on the film's set after being shot by a malfunctioning prop gun.

"The Crow is beautiful, dark, poetic and sometimes disturbing," Sanders told Deadline. "It is a story of love, loss, grief and revenge. It is a great honour to revisit James O'Barr's iconic comic and reimagine The Crow as a foreboding voice of today."

Twigs feature film debut was in 2019's Alma Har'el-directed Honey Boy, written by and starring Shia LaBeouf.
