Fiona Apple, Aimee Mann Write New Music for Animated Series 'Central Park'

Sara Bareilles, Cyndi Lauper and Meghan Trainor also have songs in the Apple TV+ musical sitcom

New Apple TV+ series Central Park debuts on the platform today, and some prominent guest songwriters have contributed new music to the animated sitcom.

Fiona Apple, Aimee MannSara Bareilles, Cyndi Lauper, Anthony Hamilton and Meghan Trainor have all penned songs for the show, which was created by Loren Bouchard (Bob's Burgers) Josh Gad and Nora Smith.

Each episode of Central Park features "three to six original songs," which will then arrive on streaming services as episodes are released each week. For now, you can find music from the show's first two episodes in the players below, which includes Bareilles's song "Weirdos Make Great Superheroes."

In terms of what's to come, Lauper has co-writes on episode four's "Garage Ballet" and "Rats." Mann's "Big Deal" will appear in the seventh episode, while Trainor's "I'm in a Perfect Relationship" appears in the eighth episode. The 10th episode features a song co-written by Fiona Apple, titled "New York Doesn't Like Your Face."

Apple returned earlier this year with new solo album Fetch the Bolt Cutters, which Exclaim! awarded a perfect 10.
