Finn Wolfhard Says Season 4 of 'Stranger Things' Is the "Darkest" to Date

The hit Netflix series Stranger Things continues to ask us whether or not we remember the '80s, but its forthcoming fourth season is expected to ramp up the intensity. The show's star (and a Canadian rocker in his own right) Finn Wolfhard has just promised some big things.

Speaking with Complex, Wolfhard said, "Every season it gets darker. Really, I will say with Season 3 I was like, this is the darkest season that there'll ever be, like the exploding rats and everything. But really, Season 4 so far, it's the darkest season there's ever been.

He continued: "Every year, it gets amped up. Every year it gets funnier and darker and sadder, and everything. Every year, they amp it up."

Of course, there will be chances to ramp it up even further, as the Duffer Brothers recently confirmed that Season 4 won't be the last we get to see the Stranger Things gang.

The next edition of Stranger Things does not have a release date just yet.
