Last night, Killing Eve featured a new cover of Taylor Swift's track "Look What You Made Me Do" performed by Jack Leopards & the Dolphin Club. If you've never heard of that band, you're not the only one — and fans think the whole thing is a ruse to get back at Scooter Braun.

A bit of background: Braun owns the master recordings for Swift's back catalogue, and the singer has previously refused to license out her own songs, saying that she had plans to re-record her own music. She told Billboard last year, "The reason I'm re-recording my music next year is because I do want my music to live on. I do want it to be in movies, I do want it to be in commercials. But I only want that if I own it."

That's where Jack Leopards & the Dolphin Club come in. Last night (May 24), Swift tweeted that she was "VERY STOKED" about the new cover on Killing Eve — but a hunt for more information about the band comes up empty. Fans quickly jumped to the assumption that the band is fake, and simply a way for Swift to release a new version of "Look What You Made Me Do" that she owns.

But wait, there's more! Fans on Twitter have evidently turned up the credits for the song, and the producers are Swift's close collaborator Jack Antonoff and "Nils Sjöberg" — a.k.a. Swift's production alias.

There's one last clue about the song's origins: back in February, the Daily Mail published a story alleging that Swift had asked Killing Eve's executive producer Phoebe Waller-Bridge to let her brother Austin sing a song for the show's soundtrack. The single's cover artwork appears to be an edited image of Austin as a child.

As for a the track itself, it's a very sombre, folk-noir re-imagining of the Reputation track. Take a listen below.
