Whether or not you enjoy Family Guy, it looks like Seth MacFarlane has been cracking jokes about Hollywood's open secrets for years. In the wake of the Harvey Weinstein scandal, many people pointed out a joke MacFarlane made in a 2013 Oscars broadcast accusing the producer of sexual misconduct. Now, a similarly pointed joke has been unearthed involving Kevin Spacey.
This week, actor Anthony Rapp accused Spacey of attempting to force a sex act with him when he was just 14 years old. Spacey offered a clumsy apology on Twitter, coming out of the closet as gay in a move that many have determined was a form of deflection.
Further, people like Rosie O'Donnell have used the opportunity to point out that Spacey's illicit behaviour has been an open secret for years. So much so, in fact, that it looks like Seth MacFarlane referenced it in a Family Guy episode way back in 2005.
