Last September, producer extraordinaire El-P revealed he had submitted original music to score the trailer for Denis Villeneuve's Blade Runner 2049. While El-P's work was, in his words, "rejected (or ignored)," the Run the Jewels member has now shared the complete piece of music for all to hear.

As he explained in an accompanying description, the minute-and-a-half-long piece was "what i put together for the blade runner 2 trailer when they called on me. i was honored to even be thought of."

El added that "almost every sound apart from percussion was created on the same type of synth Vangelis used for the original Blade Runner score. its unmixed as i only had about 2 days to whip it together and send over."

The producer also noted that he is getting "closer and closer to being able to announce the film score I'm doing this year."

While we await further details, you can take in his Blade Runner trailer piece in the player below.
