Drake will be returning to his hometown for the Toronto International Film Festival next month.

The rapper is an executive producer on a film called Monsters and Men, and he will be present to introduce the movie at the TIFF Bell Lightbox on the opening night of the fest on September 6. Organizers promise it to be a "unique screening experience."

The film is a story about a community coping with the shooting of a black man by police in Brooklyn. It stars Anthony Ramos, John David Washington and Kelvin Harrison Jr., and was directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green.

You can watch a trailer for Monsters and Men below.

In addition to Drake, members of the cast will also attend the TIFF screening of the film.

According to the festival [via CBC], the premiere will be followed by "activating the building during the festival's opening night party" — whatever that means.

TIFF runs from September 6 to 16. For full film festival information, head over here.
