Drake has cancelled his scheduled appearance tonight at the Toronto International Film Festival.

As previously reported, he was set to introduce the film Monsters and Men at the TIFF Bell Lightbox tonight. However, in a statement from TIFF, Drake will no longer be able to attend "due to scheduling commitments on his current tour."

Drake is credited as an executive producer for Monsters and Men, which tells a story about a community coping with the shooting of a black man by police in Brooklyn. The film stars Anthony Ramos, John David Washington and Kelvin Harrison Jr., and was directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green.

"Monsters and Men is a project very close to Drake's heart," the statement from TIFF reads. "He wishes the film the utmost success and feels strongly about its ability to positively inspire dialogue."

Of course, this isn't the first time Drake has recently bailed on a public appearance in Toronto.

Drake is currently out on his "Aubrey and the Three Migos Tour," and you can see all the upcoming dates here.

TIFF runs from September 6 to 16. For full film festival information, head over here.
