Because being the unspoken queen of country music wasn't enough, Dolly Parton has also been revealed as the reason we have Buffy the Vampire Slayer — and people are rightfully impressed.

Proving that she really does work "9 to 5," the 74-year-old musician and bedtime story enthusiast formed her production company, Sandollar Television, alongside her former manager Sandy Gallins back in 1986. Though Parton's name was never directly credited in the show, Sandollar Television appears in the credits of every episode of Buffy, as well as its spinoff series Angel.

It's no secret that the company helped produce Joss Whedon's hit TV series back in the '90s and early 2000s, but this amazing fact has resurfaced thanks to an article published earlier this week by The Independent. As a result, many fans are learning for the first time about Dolly's connection to the series, and the crossover magic is undeniably well-matched.

Additionally, fans have made another connection between Dolly and Sarah Michelle Gellar's titular character: the two powerhouse women share a birthday, January 19.
