If you've been watching Derry Girls' second series, you already know it stands as one of the funniest — and best — TV shows currently going. It's no surprise then that Lisa McGee's hit show has just been renewed for a third series.
McGee and the U.K.'s Channel 4 made the announcement following the Series 2 finale, which just aired Tuesday (April 9) night.
She wrote: "I love writing this show and I'm so thrilled to be able to continue the Derry Girls story, thank you Channel 4, Erin and the eejits live to fight another day!"
While the show is a Channel 4 production, the first series can be seen in North America on Netflix. And while the recently wrapped second series isn't yet on the streaming service, chances are it should arrive shortly.
As for Series 3, it's unclear when it will air, so stay tuned.

For the unfamiliar, Derry Girls is set against the violent and unsettled times of the Troubles in Londonderry, Northern Ireland, in the 1990s. McGee's own childhood has been used as the basis for the show. That might be the end for series 2 of #DerryGirls, but don't worry it will be returning for series 3! @LisaMMcGee @SaoirseJackson @nicolacoughlan @louisa_harland @JamieLeeOD @Djllewellyn 🎉🎉🎉 pic.twitter.com/yhyOaCIIQh
