Former pro wrestler Dave Bautista has turned into a prominent Hollywood actor in recent years, thanks in part to his role as Drax in the Guardian of the Galaxy films. But as that chapter of his career comes to an end, Bautista now says it's a "relief" to leave that "silly" role behind.

The third Guardians movie comes out this spring, and it will be Bautista's final one for the franchise.

"I'm so grateful for Drax. I love him," he told GQ. "But there's a relief [that it's over]. It wasn't all pleasant. It was hard playing that role. The makeup process was beating me down. And I just don't know if I want Drax to be my legacy — it's a silly performance, and I want to do more dramatic stuff."

Somebody tell Martin Scorsese that Bautista wants to take on more dramatic roles — it sounds like he's ready for some cinema!

But before he appears in any cinema, he will be starring in M. Night Shyamalan's Knock at the Cabin, a leading role that apparently features his most dramatic and dialogue-heavy acting yet.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is out May 5.
