'Cops' Gets Cancelled

Long-running police reality series Cops has officially been cancelled.

Paramount Network made the announcement late today after recently taking the show off the air following the death of George Floyd.

"Cops is not on the Paramount Network and we don't have any current or future plans for it to return," a Paramount Network spokesperson said in a statement to Deadline.

Cops first premiered on Fox way back in 1989 and aired for a whopping 25 seasons. It later came back in 2013 on Spike TV, which was eventually rebranded as Paramount Network in 2018.

Cops was actually set to premiere the first episode of its new season on Monday (June 8), but it has been off the air since June 1. And by the looks of things, it may never be coming back.
