Fresh off directing a new Joker flick, Todd Phillips is setting his sights on another antihero with a new Hulk Hogan biopic.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Phillips is set to direct a biopic about the American wrestling hero and controversial media figure. As for who will play the Hulkster? They've reportedly cast Chris Hemsworth for the role.
As THR reports, the film is currently closing a deal with Netflix. It'll be produced by Michael Sugar, who previously served as a producer on Spotlight.
Although Hogan was a controversial figure in recent years, with his sex tape scandal leading to the end of Gawker, the film will sidestep those controversies instead focusing on the rise of Hogan's wrestling superstardom.
