Last month, actress and cosplay star Chloe Dykstra suggested she had been abused by Chris Hardwick in a lengthy Medium post. As a result, AMC temporarily put a hold on their projects with Hardwick. Now, however, he's set to return to his hosting duties.

Following an internal investigation, AMC has determined that Hardwick can return to host the Walking Dead Season 9 preview special, as well as his post-show wrap-up Talking Dead. Though a date has not been set, he will also return to host Talking with Chris Hardwick.

"Following a comprehensive assessment by AMC, working with Ivy Kagan Bierman of the firm Loeb & Loeb, who has considerable experience in this area, Chris Hardwick will return to AMC as the host of Talking Dead and Talking with Chris Hardwick," AMC said in a statement [via The Hollywood Reporter]. "We take these matters very seriously and given the information available to us after a very careful review, including interviews with numerous individuals, we believe returning Chris to work is the appropriate step."

Hardwick previously denied the claims of abuse, including suggestions that he sexually assaulted Dykstra. He did, however, admit that their relationship "was not perfect."
