Brooklyn Cyclones and Vermont Lake Monsters Celebrate 'Ren & Stimpy' with Hideous Jerseys

This year marks the 25th anniversary of John Kricfalusi's truly singular cartoon series The Ren & Stimpy Show, which first arrived in 1991. To celebrate its legacy, two Single-A baseball teams are going to wear the most ugly jerseys imaginable.

The Brooklyn Cyclones and the Vermont Lake Monsters will appear as Stimpy and Ren, respectively, at an upcoming baseball game.

The event will take place on August 10 at Brooklyn's MCU Park as part of Nickelodeon Night. In addition to the hideous jerseys on the players, the park will also specialize in Ren and Stimpy bobbleheads.

While it's all a nice bit of family fun, the whole thing also reminds us of the innuendo-heavy "pitcher and catcher" bit from the Ren & Stimpy Adult Party Cartoon
