Maria Bakalova was a relatively unknown actor until she stole plenty of scenes (and drummed up some serious controversy) in the new Borat movie. Further proving her arrival as a hotly tipped up-and-comer, she'll soon star in a new slasher from A24.
The movie is called Bodies, Bodies, Bodies and will see Bakalova star alongside Amandla Stenberg (The Hate U Give). Myha'la Herrold and Pete Davidson are also in talks to sign on for roles.
The film will be directed by Halina Reijn. And while details are not available just yet, this sounds like a promising project.
For playing the role of Tutar in Borat, Bakalova was nominated for an Academy Award.
