Arnold Schwarzenegger Quits 'Celebrity Apprentice' Because of "Baggage" (A.K.A. Donald Trump)

Poor old Arnold Schwarzenegger has been having a hell of a time since taking over the Celebrity Apprentice franchise from that loud-mouthed orange man Donald Trump. His ratings have been a laughing stock and his catchphrase sucks, so it was only a matter of time before he terminated his role as host.

Today (March 3), Arnie did the honourable thing and announced he was stepping down from his role as host of a show everyone hates. In a statement, he said, "I loved every second of working with NBC and [executive producer] Mark Burnett. Everyone — from the celebrities to the crew to the marketing department — was a straight 10, and I would absolutely work with all of them again on a show that doesn't have this baggage."

The baggage is, of course, the President of the United States of America. In a recent interview with Empire, Schwarzy said that no one wants to watch The New Celebrity Apprentice because it reminds them that they live in Trump's modern hell world.

"Even if asked [to do it again] I would decline," Arnie said. "With Trump being involved in the show people have a bad taste and don't want to participate as a spectator or as a sponsor or in any other way support the show."

The show's bad ratings were a constant talking point for Trump, who has emerged as one of America's preeminent television critics. He's really living his best life.
