Ariana Grande Reaches Out to Pete Davidson After Suicidal Instagram Post
After West warned Grande not to "use me or this moment to promote a song," Davidson spoke out in defence of the rapper (despite his former comments about West on Saturday Night Live).
In a since-deleted Instagram post, Davidson wrote: "Bravo Kanye West for standing up for yourself and speaking out against mental health. I can't explain to you enough how difficult and scary it is to be honest about stuff like this. We need people like Kanye. No on should ever point fingers at you for your bravery in speaking about mental health. I'm seriously disgusted."
The post was bombarded by Arianators, and Davidson later posted a troubling message to Instagram, alluding to suicidal thoughts.
"I really don't want to be on this earth anymore," he wrote. "I'm doing my best to stay here for you but I actually don't know how much longer I can last. All I've ever wanted to do was help people. Just remember I told you so."
Davidson deleted his Instagram account shortly thereafter.
Grande seemingly reached out to her former fiancé and West via Twitter, saying, "Man I'm so sorry I told a dumb joke. I really didn't mean any harm. All I want everyone to be healthy and happy. So desperately."
"Please. My god...I'm downstairs and I'm not going anywhere if you need anyone or anything," she continued, seemingly directed at Davidson. "I know u have everyone u need and that's not me, but I'm here too."
Some fans criticized Grande for the public message, but the singer argued that she didn't have his phone number to reach him. In a since-deleted tweet, Grande aired her frustration, saying, "No I couldn't because I don't have his number. What else????????????????? How else would we like to vilify me today?"

We can be so insensitive. God bless Kanye & Pete. Being flippant about mental illness speaks more about you than them. Stop saying the word love & live it. Love is an action.— QUEEN (@NICKIMINAJ) December 15, 2018

You are loved.

The NYPD reportedly looked into Davidson's safety after receiving calls about his Instagram post, and a number of sources confirmed to TMZ that Davidson was located safe and present at Saturday Night Live rehearsals.
