Earlier this year, tragedy struck when 27-year-old actor Anton Yelchin was killed in a freak auto accident. As previously reported, Yelchin's accident may have been caused by a faulty shifter in his Jeep. Now, his parents have filed suit against the SUV's manufacturer Fiat Chrysler.
Victor and Irina Yelchin filed a wrongful death and product liability lawsuit against Fiat Chrysler at the Los Angeles Superior Court. They claim that his death was caused by the Jeep's poor design and defective manufacturing.
"Anton Yelchin was crushed and lingered alive for some time, trapped and suffocating until his death," the lawsuit reports.
