Amazon has cancelled its live-action adaptation of The Tick. The show, which starred Peter Serafinowicz in its titular role, aired for two seasons.

The news was confirmed on Twitter by series creator Ben Edlund, who also created the comic from which all of the Tick shows were based.

"I'm sorry to say Amazon has chosen not to proceed with The Tick," Edlund wrote. "I'm not sorry to say I love this show, its cast, its story, and its message. Destiny demands that my compatriots and I now seek a new home for this series."

In addition to Serafinowicz, the series starred Valorie Curry, Brendan Hines, Scott Speiser, Yara Martinez and Alan Tudyk.
