Enter for a chance to win a pair of tickets to the Jr. Gone Wild album release show in Edmonton on November 20! There is also a chance to win a ticket to the live stream concert.
Edmonton's own Jr. Gone Wild ushered in an era of alternative country music in Canada from 1983 to 1995. After 25 years, they're back — original members Mike McDonald, Steve Loree and Dave "Dove" Brown alongside McDonald's nephew Quinton Herbert — with new album Still Got that Jacket on November 12.
Seeds of Jr. Gone Wild's reunion were planted with a run of shows in 2013, where the enthusiastic reaction of crowds inspired new songs to begin taking shape. When former member Larry Shelast passed away in 2019, Herbert was thankfully able to take over as the band's drummer. They began to put Still Got that Jacket together in Loree's studio last summer.
The quartet recaptures their folk-punk magic as if the passage of time ain't no thang across the record's 16 tracks — which include power pop-infused single "Girl in the Crowd" and a cover of Chilliwack's classic "Fly at Night."
Tickets to the show go on sale on October 1, you can purchase them here.
