"Weird Al" Yankovic Snuck a Bunch of Cheese Puns into Today's 'New York Times' Crossword

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Apr 4, 2018

"Weird Al" Yankovic may be going bit less weird for his current "Ridiculously Self-Indulgent, Ill-Advised Vanity Tour," but the dude still knows how to make a cheesy pun — and that's literally what he did in today's New York Times crossword puzzle.

The comically-minded musician co-wrote today's puzzle with Eric Berlin, serving up a selection of movie-related cheese puns with answers like "A Few Gouda Men" and "Feta Attraction."

Unfortunately, "Quesoblanca" and "Fondue the Right Thing" were cut from the final answer key.

As bizarre a guest writer as Yankovic might seems upon first glance, his history of calling out "Word Crimes" and food-related parody songs actually make him kind of the perfect fit.
