Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith have repeatedly knocked it out of the park with their Inside No. 9, offering up some of the best dark comedy the UK has to offer. So it's good news indeed that at long last Series 6 (or Season 6 if you prefer) is soon headed our way, and we now have our first trailer.

Today, Pemberton and Shearsmith shared a brief trailer for the latest instalment of their anthology series, and it's a lot to unpack. In a blazing 30 seconds, we're hit with a ton of rapid-fire clips, including many of the upcoming season's special guest stars.

This includes W1A's brilliant Sarah Parish stating "'This is where the fun starts," while Fleabag/Quiz star Sian Clifford can been found reading some magazine called Horny Brides.

Of course, Pemberton and Shearsmith also can be seen shapeshifting into a ton of different characters — some of which look creepy as hell this time around.

Other guests for the upcoming series include Paterson Joseph, Lindsay Duncan, Kein Bishop, Nick Mohammed, Bhavna Limbachia and Gemma Whelan, as well as Sir Derek Jacobi who will be voicing a character.

Of the upcoming series, Shearsmith and Pemberton previously said: "We started filming in March last year but had to hit pause due to the pandemic. After a nine-month gestation it's a relief to finally deliver our sixth series to the world.

"As proud parents we couldn't possibly choose a favourite, but like any youngest sibling this series is cheeky, funny – and can get away with murder."

So far, the BBC hasn't set a firm release date for Inside No. 9 Series 6, but expect it to arrive soon.
