Someone Live-Tweeted Greta Gerwig Watching 'I Feel Pretty' and It's the Greatest Film Review Ever

Sure, it might not be the greatest etiquette to talk loudly or use your phone while watching a movie in the theatre, but one Twitter user has proven that in certain circumstances, it's not just okay — it can produce an amazing story.

Jaye Hunt (@hayejunt) attended a matinee screening of the Amy Schumer-starring I Feel Pretty yesterday (May 9), and had the unexpected experience of overhearing everything that Lady Bird director Greta Gerwig had to say about the film.

Gerwig and a group of friends sat down in front of Hunt in the mostly-empty theatre, and as the filmmaker proceeded to voice her reactions aloud, Hunt proceeded to live-tweet them to the world.

Settling in with "the biggest movie theatre soda I've ever seen," Gerwig gave Schumer a few pity laughs, pointed out plot holes and danced along to the soundtrack in her seat, but her enthusiasm quickly waned, as she went on to deem the film "incomprehensible" and even declared "I hate this" during a sex scene.

Hunt has since issued one correction to her account, noting that the guy in the audience who left didn't leave due to Gerwig and her friends' loud talking, but simply because he "had someplace to be and was moviepassing the time away."
