Pete Davidson Kicked a Guy Out of His Stand-Up Show for Making a Mac Miller Joke

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Feb 27, 2019

While performing a standup set in New Jersey earlier this week, SNL star Pete Davidson asked security to remove an audience member from the show after he heckled the comedian with a crack about Mac Miller.

Davidson took the stage at the South Orange Performing Arts Center on Monday (February 25) and was setting up a joke that started, "My friend died in my apartment." At that point, someone in the crowd yelled, "Mac Miller?"

Miller died of a drug overdose last year, while Davidson and Ariana Grande were still engaged. Grande dated Miller for two years prior to her relationship with Davidson.

Davidson stopped mid-set and asked the crowd to point out the "fuckface" who yelled that, and paused the show until security escorted him out of the building.

"I'll leave," Davidson said. "So if you want the show to continue, call out the person who did it and get him the fuck out. Give him his money back and get him the fuck out. I don't deal with that shit at my shows."

Once the heckler was removed, Davidson continued the joke, which turned out to just be about thinking his friend who was passed out had died of a heart attack.
