Pete Davidson and Lorne Michaels Once Spent New Year's in Jamaica Together

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Mar 1, 2019

Pete Davidson revealed that he and Lorne Michaels once travelled to Jamaica together for New Year's back when he was 20 years old and had just joined the cast of Saturday Night Live.

Davidson shared the anecdote during a game of "True Confessions" with John Mulaney and Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show last night (February 28).

In the game, each comedian read out a story and was then questioned by the others about it, in an attempt to determine if it was true or not.

Reading off a card, Davidson said, "Lorne Michaels and I went to Jamaica together on vacation for New Year's."

Mulaney and Fallon, who both worked with Michaels on SNL for years, looked absolutely baffled, and eventually concluded that the story must have been a fake.

But nope — Davidson confirmed that it really happened, back when he was 20 and had only been a part of the cast for eight episodes.

Watch the hilarious retelling of the tale below.

Mulaney will host SNL tomorrow night (March 2) with musical guest Thomas Rhett.
