Get ready to paint the town Portuguese Teal

Have the TV shows you've been watching as of late just been missing a certain je ne sais quoi? If that absent presence happens to be the character of Hamilton, ON, then we've got good news for you: This Is the Thing is back for a second season of record store hijinks and highlighting the Hammer's deeply enmeshed music and comedy scenes.

Helmed by local comics Mike Mitchell and Tim Ford, the guys pick up from painting Hamilton as "the centre of the universe in Canada" with the show's first season — except now, they've been fired from the fictional record store where they forged their (also fictional) friendship working together while simultaneously chasing their dreams of being a comedian and a YouTuber, respectively.

Undeterred, they decide to open their own record store, which can only go incredibly well if Mike continues sorting stock by artists' first names. Needless to say, they have to hire some help... and try to avoid a cult, apparently?

If Season 1's all-star roster of cameos from local legends like B.A. Johnston, the Dirty Nil and Ed the Sock was any indication, there are sure to be lots of special guests popping up.

This Is the Thing Season 2 is now available to watch on Bell Fibe TV1, and you can check out the trailer below.
