Comedian Reggie Watts to Release Live Comedy Album Through Jack White's Third Man Records

Originally thought of as a garage rock purist, Jack White has used his Third Man Records as a means to show off his varied tastes. Earlier this year, he recruited Conan O'Brien to release a live album, plus a comedy single. Now, Third Man is gearing up for another comedy release, this time from funnyman Reggie Watts.

The comedian, who opened for Conan on his recent tour, will appear live at Third Man in Nashville, TN on December 2. According to an announcement on Third Man's website, the evening promises "unpredictable comedic performance, brilliant social commentary and other assorted improvised behaviour," as well as "the finest and most magnificent mass of raven locks ever to adorn the stage."

The performance will be recorded onto reel-to-reel tape and turned into an album, Reggie Watts at Third Man Live. This record will be available only to those in attendance, who can pay $20 to order a black and blue split-colour vinyl record. You may be able to find some copies on eBay, but the ultra-limited-edition nature of the release means that they're bound to be expensive.

Tickets for the show are just $5. See a trailer for the performance below.
