The Owner of the Washington Capitals Wants Fugazi to Reunite and Play His Arena

The longer we live in a world without Fugazi, the less our world seems to make sense. The music heroes have been on hiatus since 2003, but a D.C.-based sports and business mogul is now trying to change that.

Billionaire Ted Leonsis is an entrepreneur who formerly worked as a senior executive at AOL and currently owns both the Washington Capitals and the Washington Wizards. He's also, apparently, a big fan of $5 shows and angular post-hardcore, because he's trying to get Fugazi to reunite.

Leonsis shared an article from Washington City Paper that traced the lineage of Fugazi, adding that he would love to see the band reunite to play in his arena. Leonsis added that he would like to compensate the band and make donations to local charities in their name.

Considering the vast array of snack options in a big arena, the potential Fugazi reunion show might even include an ice cream-eating motherfucker
